To be honest, I never liked the idea of the anime. I hate the fact that they separated Lilo and Stitch. Even if Lilo got a boyfriend Lilo would NEVER stop caring about Stitch, and vice versa. Yuna is no where near as likeable as character as Lilo. She is really nothing but an attempted Lilo ripoff. It also really annoys me the fact that she is a black belt who teaches her own karate class. How old is she? 12? Let's be realistic here.
Its also sooo inconsistant. Initially, I thought the anime was supposed to be an alternate version where Lilo and Stitch was never supposed to have happened, yet Stitch knows about Ohana and all the experiments are already names. But then they have Lilo show up, so obviously that wasn't true. And Gantu and 625 (Sorry, I have issues calling him Reuben) are working for Hamsterveil again. Why is Hamsterveil even out of prison? What happened to all the Leroys? It just doesn't make much sense.
Plus Gantu is so fail in the anime. In the original movie, he was rather impressive. This HUGE alien who gets the job done. In the series, he was rather pathetic, and in the anime, he's even worse(I never thought that would be even possible).

I agree! I mean c'mon Gantu really needs to get some credit and seriously why did Gantu and Reuben become evil again? I'm kind of confused on all that y'know? Or is it like a plothole?

I really don't have anything against the anime. I actually like it.
For starters, Yuna is a good character in my opinion. She has a good head on her shoulders. She might not be Lilo nor could she ever replace her. NO ONE could ever replace Lilo! But still she's a good friend to Stitch, and like Lilo she helps him understand the world around him.
As for Angel,.... She's always been my fave experiment since I first learned of her. She was never given much of a personality due to her lack of appearances in the series and movies. But in the anime, I do have to say she is a bit... bratty at some points. Like when she scolds Stitch for making a mistake around her. And then there's the girly girl thing when she gets excited over jewelry. I wouldn't call her a cheater because in her latest appearance in Season 3, she kind of broke up with Stitch after the basketball indecent. Remember? "Stitch naga bujiboo!" When cheating on someone is dating a person behind the back of someone you were already dating. Still she took Stitch back AND they almost kissed! And in the episode with 627, she was being tricked, and they weren't exactly on a date. She DID invite Stitch to be with her when he was climbing up the castle. Still, her personality choice COULD have been better. She's got spunk though. I just hope that she improves over time. I, mean Japan is nuts over Stitch/Angel and it's kawaii-ness. They won't break them up forever. Least I hope not.
As for Lilo's episode.. OMG I LOVED IT SO MUCH! It like provided closure to me. Lilo's all grown up now. She only left because she had to go to college. (same one her boyfriend went to maybe? That just might be in the English dub.) Now she's grown up and she has a little girl of her own. Even though she left Stitch with Yuna, she did say that she and Stitch would always be family. She always loved Stitch and she always will.
And frankly I'm getting tired of hearing that Stitch should have left with Lilo. And hearing that people hate Yuna. Nobody is perfect. So just be happy that Stitch is with someone who loves him as much as Lilo does since she was a child. Think about it. The o'hana is even bigger! It's a joined family and Stitch is the link between the two! ^^
As for the English dub... Well, the only things that bug me are: Cut or conjoined scenes Stitch's expanded vocabulary(meh got used to it) And of course the plotline that Lilo got a boyfriend. (Thank God that's fixed)
Another plus for the anime is MORE EXPERIMENTS! YAY!
So yeah that's basically my opinion.

I love her daughter! Lilo's daugther's name is Kidda btw.

I can get back Stitch's word choice. He's been on earth for quite a long time, assuming he stayed with on the island with Lilo. It's highly likely he developed a better understanding of earthling language.

Alrighty, time to lay down my line on the anime.
Now, I know the anime's been a split-line decision of love or hate; but to me I loved the anime, it's got a lot of clever ideas and concepts and it's just unrecognized or unrealized in my opinion. I've been watching the whole thing in Japanese and the English dub (BTW, the English dub's really good and I LOVE the voices; Eden Riegel as Yuna and Ben Diskin as Stitch seemed to be pretty well chosen) However, only the first two seasons are the ones I love; the third's... well, okay at best. It's just that the third season tried to live up to everything that the anime had, and kinda failed in the process. Plus, the way Yuna was toned down in the third season kinda dampened the experience, unlike that of the first two where she was full-on tomboy. Though I will say, I LOVED the Lilo episode in that season; it tied up a lot of loose ends with the anime's timeline. Plus, the episode was so emotional, and heck, it even brought me to crying in a good way, almost like "Toy Story 3" did. In fact, I often compare the two because in the end, there's something huge given away in the end of it all. The Lilo episode to me is what led me to call the anime a passing of lineage, which Disney has done a lot recently (i.e. with TRON Legacy, Toy Story 3, few others.), and I'm quite glad with the result myself.
The stories of the episodes often make a lot of sense to me, being an anime fan especially; and with the first two seasons, there was a great wealth of episodes that had good stories.
Another reason I liked the anime's style and sense is that it merged the likeness of an anime television show with the cartoon and design aspects of Disney, and the result is something great in my eyes. The animation's also incredible for the first two seasons; while the third took a simple approach which was at least decent.
Yuna (or as her full name goes, Yuna Kamihara), now I know; like the anime, she's been on the love/hate stick here. Plus, she's been compared to Lilo a lot. I have to get something out here; both Lilo and Yuna are DIFFERENT CHARACTERS, so it seems incredibly unfair to compare the two since they both have their own ways and styles. Also, I have to say, I love Yuna. Because to be honest (and hear me out here); I've been a fan of Lilo and Stitch since I was younger, and I felt not much to connect to with Lilo. I mean, she is a great character believe me, extraordinary character; but it's just I had no way to relate to her myself. Yuna on the other hand, when she came in; it seemed like an instant click. Her tomboy personality and caring demeanor make a good mix of tough and sweet really, and it connected so much so that she became one of my favorite Disney characters alongside Stitch (heck, even being the co-founder of the Yuna Club on deviantART proves it). She's just the kind of girl who's nice and sweet to all her friends and ohana, and is tough against evil and injustice. In addition, her karate is a nice addition to her personality, as it makes her more tougher to impose onto bullies and to helping Stitch out. All in all, I love Yuna as a character, as she's the kind of girl who seems easy to relate to if you delve deep enough into her backstory.
All in all, I like the anime, and I'd have to say I wouldn't mind the series to continue in some way. Ichariba Chode!
